Appeals
- Any person who feels that the Department of Public Safety has unjustly dealt with him/her on traffic or parking matters may request a hearing before the Student Traffic Appeals Committee or the Faculty/Staff Traffic Appeals Board, as appropriate.
- Faculty/staff members or students must have a car registered to file an appeal.
- The inability to find a legal parking space will not be accepted as a defense for violations.
- Faculty/Staff members and students may appeal citations for violations of UAH Motor Vehicle Regulations. Appeals must be filed on the proper forms, available at the Department of Public Safety, and received by that office within 7 days after the ticketing time. The fine must be paid at the time of the appeal. If the appeal is granted, a refund will be authorized by the Department of Public Safety.
- The decisions of the Student Traffic Appeals Committee and the Faculty/ Staff Traffic Appeals Board shall be final.
