General Regulations

1. All faculty, staff, and students who operate or park a motor vehicle on the University of Alabama in Huntsville campus must display on their vehicle either a current UAH vehicle registration decal, a UAH license plate, or a Temporary Parking Permit issued by the Department of Public Safety.
2. Decals will be valid for a one-year period from September 1, 2005, through August 31, 2006.
3. Current decals and permits issued by Alabama A&M University are accepted on the UAH Campus.
4. Each faculty/staff member and student must acquaint all members of his/her household with the Motor Vehicle Regulations.
5. All vehicles must park with the rear of the vehicle next to the traffic lane.
6. Vehicle operators must park vehicles only in clearly marked spaces.
7. Motorist must yield to pedestrians who are in or entering a crosswalk.
8. The speed limit on campus roads is 25 M.P.H. and is enforced by radar.
9. The responsibility of finding a legal parking space rests with the vehicle operator. A lack of space where one would like to park is not a valid excuse for violating any parking regulation.
