Penalties

1. The UAH registered owner/operator is responsible for all penalties incurred against his/her vehicle, even if it is being operated by another authorized person.
2. Failure to acknowledge the violator's copy of the citation after it has been placed on the vehicle shall not be grounds for voiding a ticket.
3. Violators are liable for each citation issued. Filing an appeal on one citation does not automatically shield the violator from any later citations received for the same type of offense.
4. Students: All unpaid traffic fines incurred by a student are fees owed to The University of Alabama in Huntsville. No student may attend classes at UAH during a subsequent term if he/she has any financial obligation for any previous term.
